Slightly tired from the hectic schedule of hosting shows and travelling, Rannvijay was in Surat to promote his new reality show Stunt Mania and his new flick. He says, “This is the eleventh city I have come to. It’s exhausting.”
For someone whose forte includes multitasking jobs, we ask him what excites him more and he says, “I cannot choose one thing as I enjoy everything.
When I am anchoring a show, I am happy being myself and during the auditions of Roadies I am authoritative. I also enjoy being a biker for another show. Enacting the character of a guy who is shy and quirky in his latest flick Mod where he will share screen space with actor Ayesha Takia, Rannvijay is excited about it.
Rannvijay gives you the impression of him being a tough guy when he you watch him onscreen but in person he is a fun-loving and calm guy. He says, “I don’t get angry at all. I am very patient. During the shoots I am pretty chilled out and keep cracking jokes with people. I love to laugh.” He also explains why he acts authoritative on screen because he has to look like someone in command. He says, “Some times the participants get scared as we strongly argue to find out if they are fooling us but they also respect me when I do all the stunts to teach them.”
Reality shows have become a platform to make an entry into the glamour world but Rannvijay feels it was more for the love of the sport that got him initially interested. He says, “When I did Roadies, I did it for my passion for sports but today youngsters have different reasons to participate in reality shows. We select them if they are interesting. After the show if they are popular and get opportunities in television and films, it is great.”

Rannvijay’s family resides in Ahmedabad so he keeps coming to Gujarat often. “I have travelled to many cities like Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Bhuj and Kutch. The people here are prosperous, fun and love food. I specially love the dandiya festival.”
Rannvijay who was recently in Surat to attend a Friendship Day party feels that it is funny when people say it’s Valentine’s Day or Friendship Day and ‘did you wish your girl friend or friends?’ He says, “Why should you wait for a day to let your friends know that you love them? For me everyday is a friendship day and my friends know how much I value their friendship. But I do reply when someone wishes me on a social networking site.” Rannvijay has many friends and he has enjoyed making new friends because “my dad is in the Army and so he transferred to different places. I went to nine different schools and have nine set of classmates. They are my friends.”
With his hectic schedules and frequent travelling around cities we ask him if he gets time to chill out with his friends and he says he loves to party if given a chance. “But my work is really hectic and keeps me on my toes all the time leaving less time for chilling out,” he says on a parting note.
